Who Broke The COWBELL!

There are times when I wonder if raising kids in the comedy biz is a bad thing. Narcissistic tendencies from both parents, jokes about their most embarrassing moments told to the world, and the unfortunate times when mom thinks it's more important to crack wise in Texas and dad is across the country holding a comic's hand backstage before the taping of an hour special, instead of being at their basketball game.. However, there are other times when we have great conversations about such things as race, after they see Paul Mooney go off at the Laugh Factory during the holidays - while they help hand out toys to the underserved, or how they cherished the cowbell they got as a present when they were three after we religiously watched as a family a jag of SNL reruns for two years instead of the Wiggles, or this morning when I checked my Instagram and saw that my thirteen year old posted a picture of Hedberg - with a side note explaining how Mitch's jokes will always matter... That I think everything is gonna be alright.
